Is taking a PDI as my pupil a bad idea?

Hi,
I just joined the forum but noticed all the posts are very old.

I'm taking a PDI for a driving assessment today with the view of taking him along as my chosen pupil for my Part3. Does anyone have any views on this? He has just passed his Part1 and had no Part2 training as yet so I'm hoping he has lots of bad habits that need fixing.

I don't think you can take someone to act as your pupil if they are a qualified ADI or someone who is training to become a driving instructor.

Although you can't take an ADI on your Part 3, you can take a PDI who has not yet passed Part 2.
I personally think they would likely make a good pupil but then I am not a trainer or have experience of the new Part 3 so would suggest you really need to discuss this with your current trainer.
Good Luck
