Show me question asked on test during driving...

At a meeting today with TC Manager talking about the new test and show me questions. The TCM stated if a candidate, whilst driving, was TOTALLY unable to demonstrate a show me question (ie please can you operate both the front and back washers) this could be marked as a serious fault which would mean a test failure. Also the demonstration MUST be done while the car is moving and not stationary like at red traffic lights.

They have kept that quiet then. Not in the DT1 yet and not mentioned in any of the new test literature.

Re: Show me question asked on test during driving...

In a similar meeting a test centre manager advised that in the event the candidate could not carry out the task, the car would be pulled up on the left and the candidate given an opportunity to work out what needed to be done before setting off and being asked again to carry out the task.

I don't think there is much wrong with that, although looking at it objectively, should someone be allowed to pass a test if they can't carry out one of these simple everyday tasks?
