Learners and speed cameras

Please can someone confirm something for me.. im a pdi and I was told if a pupil is caught speeding the instructor recieves the points and fine also? ?

No. It is the driver that  receives the points and fine, regardless of whether a provisional licence holder or full licence holder. However, the instructor has a responsibility to ensure that the learner does not go over the speed limit.
There was a situation that occurred a few years ago, it was on the news, where a new learner got caught for speeding.

As said, as said the driver the points and fine.
However, dependant upon circumstances the supervisor can be prosecuting for aiding and abetting the offence.
