Annoying Day

Took my son for his 125cc test this afternoon, on arrival at Test Centre informed that the examiner had gone home sick.  Fair renough but what is annoying is that they don't have any one else who can do tests so all tests for the rest of the day are cancelled.  Told the next test by DSA is at end of May. Fortunately we already have some tests booked earleier than that so he is back on in a fortnight. Why can't the DSA have more than 1 M/Cycle examiner :? at the new Multi test Centre, at ours they have about 15 car examiners and only 1 bike (that is who will go out on bike).  What on earth is going to happen after after October when the new tests comes in and people are forced to travel to them from far afield.

Re: Annoying Day

Just an update.  Son again went for test would you believe it, same examiner never showed in for work (believe gone sick again but not confirmed) call me cynical if you like but the examiner had been had been on strike the previous day and it was Friday yikes.  Anyway told we were in luck and there was another motorcycle examiner from another test centre there doing car tests and they were waiting for a hire car and he would be doing bike tests.  Unlucky for car tests who I think may have been cancelled.  Anyway son was the first test to go out at 1243 all earlier tests cancelled.  Son passed big_smile so not bothered but it was still annoying at the time fortunately we had changed his test from 0820 otherwise he would have not done it.
