pst briefings times...???

Can any one clear this up for me.....How long is the briefings for part3 suppose to be in minutes?Is 10Min's too long or okay? :?

Agree with both Disky and Pinball, somewhere between 5-10 mins should be fine - although it does depend on the PST. Some are more complex than others, so Approaching Junctions should take less time than Crossroads. The thing to bear in mind is that you need to cover the main points that will allow the pupil to know 'what' and to some degree 'how' it is going to be acheived, concentrating on the physcomotor skills. During your subsequent talk through, you will re-iterate the 'what' information and add in the 'how', thus building on the cognitive domain. Once the pupil can do it and knows how to do it, you can then add in the final element of why.

Your 'pupil' should be on the move within 10 mins. two thirds lesson for practical tuition then remain.

This includes intro,previous exp,aims/ob,cockpit drill and briefing. The actual 'how to' shouldnt be longer than 7 mins- 5 being ideal.

If you cant deliver it in that time, think more work is needed.
