Re: Fleet badge - worth it?

Hang on a second - let's try to compare like with like.
What you're talking about is effectively a licence to deliver their cpc courses.
This thread is about the DSA Fleet qual.

I wonder how much marketing support and business development is included in the Rospa Diploma.
In fact, I already know.

Re: Fleet badge - worth it?

Lets just deal in facts here.
Fact 1: The course is VERY benefitial to all that have completed the course.
The OP was mearly asking how the market was. Just like most of us found out once qualified in the last ten years the learner market was satuarated.
Fact 2: This company directed me and many others into sourcing fleet work.
Fact 3: This is a DSA Accredidted course.
Fact 4: This is the BIG one if you know ANYTHING about Ofsted. The recently scored Grade One on their report(Which is the highest you could get!) That is why they have thrown funding at them, due to the quality of the courses.
Fact 5: I am not an employee for these, just somebody who has benefited from loads of  courses. Some funded and some I have funded due to the high standards of the company.
Their after care is FANTASTIC if accept it.
Fact 6: All the negativity is coming from those who have ZERO experience of this company and NONE from those who have expericed them.
Fact 7: The reason why it is being unnamed is to prevent bitter forum memebers who know NOTHING about them slandering them.
You know NOTHING of their aftercare.
I have stated the facts so drop it.

This forum is for discussion and I hope no one is going to be intimidated out of said discussion. If that tone is the result of the course, I would not send anyone on it in a million years.

Mmmm,  that's good. YOU introduce it onto the post and ask US to drop it.

Can't see why we would slander them. We haven't a clue who they are.

I'd prefer to look at the facts from Walter, who appears to have a gagging order.

Isn't the top mark for Ofsted  'Outstanding' ?

I'm with Hilary on this one.

considering you don't have any ties with them you seem to be desperate to protect them.
(By the way slander is the spoken word,   written defamation is libel.  So no one can possibly slander anyone on here)  wink

Doesn't appear to have done Walter a lot of good.  Is part of the deal of getting it free that you are gagged from criticising?

Re: Fleet badge - worth it?

Not sure what the problem is here.
If I like Marks and Spencers because of their quality, my recommendation wouldn't of been my way of "protecting" them but just my opinon would it not?

Should that matter? The only reason I've not named them is due to them recieving "pelters" from all angles due to them having a sound business plan.

Imagine a name, it shouldn't matter. I am a fan of theirs for all they have given me. (I think this is what people are struggling to get heads around).
Walter hasn't had a bad word to say. I wouldn't mind him coming on here to back me up actually. Feel like I'm being cyber bullied. haha
If they are doing something GREAT, then I say "Good on em!".

Re: Fleet badge - worth it?

I will back you up, am a associate with Any Driver and I believe you might be? I dont see a problem myself stating so. They need to earn a living like we do and they do a good job so why not let others know and benefit. I apoligise if I have got issues a little wrong but I dont think I have just come clean.

Yay! Tell everyone about your experience Finch. No doubt everyone will now think we've concocted a plan to "protect" them. Good or Bad experience Finch?

Overall good, but like everthing as individuals we all have to decide what is good or bad and make our own decsions.

Re: Fleet badge - worth it?

Government funding is made available for NVQ's it can be difficult to get but once got and then connected with the write people funding may still be sourced.
Any Driver deliver an NVQ which has the same learning outcomes as a DSA Fleet course so is a transferable learning outcome. The course will be checked by an NVQ A1 Assessor who is likely to be another ADI who has been through the A1 course.
I have had mixed reviews regarding this course some excellent some really poor. It does seem it depends on the individual trainer but I do not have any evidence apart from anecdotal evidence to back this statement up.
I hope this helps.

Re: Fleet badge - worth it?

Just a quick question with these government funded courses, are there any requirements to get funding, or can anyone do it?

Re: Fleet badge - worth it?

I have personally been on the same High Quality courses along with Neil from an Excellent DSA Accredited Trainer . Although as of yet the work hasn't been flooding in from fleet ,I see this as about the future not the next weeks work etc . I have also received a Fleet Badge , An NVQ level 3 Driving Instruction , an NVQ QCF A! Assessors award and will do an ORDIT , PTLLS , Customer Service level 3 NVQ ETC all at very little cost to myself other than my time . I have benefited immensely from these courses having taught Learners for 17 years , I feel that my instruction has improved along with coaching techniques and general technical expertise .I have also been involved with Jonnyfr along this learning route and what hew quotes is absolutely true , CUT THE NEGATIVITY . My first experience of paid fleet work was last monday PS £250.00 for 9 til 3 . I rest my case . The future of Driver Education in the UK MUST be through better training for the trainers , therefore hoping to increase the Kudos of a Driver Trainer and hopefully Billy Bloggs not just using his lesson as a taxi service . I had no CPD for 17 years yet now thanks to a forward thinking training company I will probably be a highly qualified trainer and be able to approach companies with a decent CV , surely better than just the DSA ADI . Regards and may your future be bright , MICK
