Ridiculas price increase

As of the 1st April, the cost of the IAM Skill for life is going up, from £99 to £139 and increace of £40

If you book and pay with IAM headquarters before the 1st April it will still cost you £99, BUT if you book through your local group, you still only pay £99, till the 1st May.

I don't know how they can justify such an increase, especially in this climate of ressesion. I womder how many groups will suffer because of this now.

Re: Ridiculas price increase

It's hardly going to encourage drivers to take a advanced test, how can they justify such an increase.

How much is the basic test?

The last price for the test itself was £38 now I don't know how much they are putting that up too, everything is included in the total cost.
Have had a look on the IAM webpage and they havn't updated it yet.
Your guess is as good as mine.

If I buy the Skills for life gift pack for myself now, then can I activate the membership when I want to start training (Couple of my mates and myself won't be able to start untill June)

Many Thanks

Hiya,
No what happens, as soon as IAM headquarters receive your payment, your membership with them starts from that day.
So if you join now, and don't start till June, you will in effect loose 2months membership. Stupid I know but it's how they work.

And ask as many questions as you like, that's what I'm here for  wink

Re: Ridiculas price increase

Hi,

Just had a reply back from the IAM main office. They suggested buying the Gift Token rather than the Gift pack as wit this you have up to a year to activate the membership.

Cheers
